Last night we lost a humanitarian and an African diplomat. Former United Nations secretary and Noble Peace Prize winner, Kofi Annan passed away. This kings heart for unity and fairness is what will forever make him a role model to myself.
Not only do we share the same birthday but we share the same aspirations in a pursuit for a better world. Rest in heaven to this incredible human being, he was the first black African to lead the United Nations. Thank you for being an inspiration in my life, I aspire to be a diplomat who is as considerate and driven by unity as you were. He will always be my icon of peace.
