How To Style Dashikis!

Hello Bombshells,

I know, I know, this is my third dashiki post, I have a problem! I was asked recently if I had a problem with Americans wanting to get in on the dashiki trend. Personally, I don’t have a problem with this trend but I know a couple of africans who do. They see it as an insult that black americans bullied them for being africans, called them “african booty scratchers” and now they want partake in an african trend. I didn’t have a problem with this trend until I saw a silky dashiki design shirt at forever21 and an online site posting calling dashikis “Hippie shirts, 60s, 70s look”. If you’re going to join in on this trend, please give it the recognition it deserves! #Africanpride
